The Space Coast Symphony Orchestra relies on the help of volunteers in a variety of areas. From taking tickets, or setting up the stage, to setting up fundraisers, your help is vital to the success of the SCSO. The best part is, volunteering has been proven to give you a sense of well-being, boost self-esteem, and itís a great way to meet people who love music as much as you do. If you are gracious enough to provide us with your time you may be asked to provide assistance in a number of areas described below.

Ushering for the Space Coast Symphony Orchestra is a great way to support your symphony, plus, you get to see an orchestra concert for free! There are typically 7 concerts held every year. You will be paired with other SCSO volunteers to hand out programs and take tickets at the entrances to the auditorium, as well as assist patrons to their seats.
STAGE CREW (2 hours per concert)
Want a creative way to get some exercise? Volunteer for our stage crew! Every Thursday before a concert, you can help set up the stage risers for about an hour. Afterwards your crew will take down all of the risers and put away the chairs and stands.
POSTER DISTRIBUTION (2 - 3 hours per concert cycle)
Five to six weeks before each concert, posters need to be delivered to local businesses and other areas. Volunteers with a vehicle who can donate an hour or two of their time are required for this task. We will provide a checklist of businesses and sites, as well as tape to hang the posters.
CREATIVE PLANNING COMMITTEE (3 hours per month)
There are plenty of creative ways of helping the SCSO. There are opportunities to sit on a sub-committee. Current sub-committees include:
- Fundraising and Marketing, Special Events, and Strategic Planning
