Valerie Pernice grew up in Lawrence Kansas (1956-1978).  She performed violin with the Lawrence Chamber Players, Lawrence Symphony Orchestra and attended the University of Kansas on a violin / voice scholarship.  Valerie sang with the Kansas University Jazz band and at the Tivoli Music Hall at “Worlds of Fun” in Kansas City.  Moving to Kansas City (1978), Valerie joined the local musicians union and continued to perform/sing with orchestras,  jazz groups, big bands and various shows.  Valerie moved to Orlando in 1991 where she continued to perform on violin and viola with numerous orchestras, string groups, Jazz combos, Disney World,  and shows throughout Florida.

She has performed with great talents as Ray Charles, Celine Dion, Steve Lawrence and Eydie Gorme, Led Zeppelin, Tony Bennett, James Ingram, Melissa, Manchester, Aaron Neville, Peobo Byson, Sarah Brightman as well as musicals and operas.

Valerie currently performs with a string group- CLASSIC MIX (www.classicmix.org), Space Coast Pops Orchestra, Space Coast Symphony, and is on the Staff at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church.  In addition, she teaches violin, viola, and voice throughout Central Florida.
