Artistic Director Aaron Collins is a strong believer in the use of multi-media to enhance the concert-going experience.

“I grew up with film music and have been passionate about it ever since,” said Collins. “Launching our Night at the Movies Series with Science Fiction classics on 11-11-11 will be a sensory experience for our concertgoers. The movie scores paired with clips from these iconic films will make this a fantastic Friday night out.”

The Space Coast Symphony will present the World Premiere of Jerry Goldsmith's Star Trek: The Motion Picture Director's Cut, a 25 minute suite comprised of cues from the original score.  In addition, the orchestra will highlight Alex North's rejected score from 2001: A Space Odyssey.  Topping off the evening will be suites from John Williams in E.T and Star Wars.

“Out of this World:  Science Fiction Classics” is the fourth concert of the Space Coast Symphony Orchestra’s recently announced 2011-12 Season; a hugely ambitious and wide-ranging collection of 16 concerts featuring great works from classical and contemporary genres, orchestral masterworks, guest artists from far and near and collaborations with local Performing Arts organizations.  Known for their exuberant playing style and innovative concerts, the Space Coast Symphony Orchestra will challenge audiences in 2011-12 to 'Be Inspired' with a vastly diversified musical offering and flexible ticket pricing.  Concert details are online at www.SpaceCoastSymphony.org, with Season tickets, Flex Ticket packs and individual advance tickets now available for purchase.
