Space Coast Jazz All Stars celebrate Big Band sound Dec. 17th
(Cocoa Village, FL) December 5, 2011 -- The 20-piece Space Coast Jazz All-Stars will present a holiday jazz concert featuring two iconic Christmas albums at 7:00 PM on Saturday, December 17th at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, 2030 North Highway A1A in Indialantic, 32903. “A Stan Kenton Merry Christmas & Duke Ellington’s Nutcracker” will showcase original big band arrangements of holiday classics from the legendary Stan Kenton Christmas album including O Holy Night, God Rest Ye Merry Gentleman, Angels We Have Heard on High, The Twelve Days of Christmas and more. The 1961 original by progressive jazz legend Stan Kenton is considered by some to include the greatest Christmas Big Band arrangements of all time.
