

Paula Taylor is an Ohio transplant who has lived in Florida for over 16 years. She has a Bachelors of Music Education degree from The Ohio State University with an emphasis in percussion under the supervision of Dr. James Moore.
She has played in numerous groups including the Sedalia Concert Band, the Community Band of Brevard, Space Coast Symphony Orchestra, The Dog Bones and an assortment of jazz ensembles. On occasion you will find her sitting in at various night clubs playing the drum set. She specializes in jazz, but enjoys an occasional funk or rock beat too.
Paula founded Snare Necessities as a way to share her percussion talents by teaching drum lines, percussion ensembles, private lessons and group lessons to gifted students. Many of her students have been accepted into All County as well as All State. Paula also conducts a Preschool music program that uses a hands-on approach for toddlers and young children to experience music through the use of instruments, puppets, sign language and of course, singing. Paula lives on Merritt Island with her husband and two children, Billy and Cassie.
