

Michelle Jones is an active performing and recording musician. She has more than 30 years of musical experience and is an accomplished violinist and violist who has performed with numerous symphony orchestras and other ensembles in the United States, and continues to tour professionally with artists including Sarah Brightman, Bernadette Peters, Josh Groban, Manhattan Transfer, Styx, Chicago, and many others. Her international tours include performances with the Mantovani Orchestra where venues have included the infamous People's Hall of Congress in Beijing. She also performs and tours regularly internationally with Classic Albums Live on violin, viola, vocals, percussion and keyboard/piano, where venues have included the world-famous Massey Hall in Toronto. Mrs. Jones currently performs with Space Coast Symphony Orchestra, Space Coast Pops Orchestra, Mantovani Orchestra, Walt Disney World Orchestra, and many other local and international ensembles. She is a member of AFM Local 389 (Orlando, FL), where she serves on the Youth Committee as chair, Diversity Committee, Contractor's Committee as chair and Executive Board. A graduate of Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, Mrs. Jones majored in organizational communication and music.
What is your favorite aspect about being a musician? I love the constant challenges and opportunities for growth. It is my belief that the day you stop learning is the day your soul dies. Music is always being created, rediscovered and reborn. As a musician, I have the opportunity to do all these things with the greatest musicians and artists in the world.
Which composers most inspire you? J.S. Bach, Schumann, Mendelssohn, Sir Paul McCartney, and Sting
What are your favorite recordings? Jascha Heifetz "Heifetz Plays Gershwin", Evgeny Kissen "The Verbier Festival Recital" where Kissen plays Chopin, Sting "All This Time" live from his Tuscan villa recorded on September 11, 2001.
