Matinee and evening shows by Space Coast Symphony combine feel-good hits with classic ballet
(Cocoa Village, FL) November 21, 2011 – Join the Space Coast Symphony for a double-dose of the holiday season with two performances of “A Leroy Anderson Christmas & the Nutcracker” on Saturday, December 3rd at 2:00 & 7:00 PM at the Scott Center for the Performing Arts at Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy in north Melbourne. The Scott Center auditorium is located off the Pineda Causeway at 5625 Holy Trinity Drive, 32940. The first half of the concert includes Leroy Anderson favorites such as Sleigh Ride, Bugler’s Holiday, The Typewriter, Syncopated Clock, A Christmas Festival, and more. The Galmont Ballet joins the Space Coast Symphony Orchestra on the second half to present selections from Tchaikovsky's unforgettable masterpiece, the Nutcracker. Artistic Director Aaron Collins is certain the program will be a pure delight for young and old. “This program is two holiday all-time favorites rolled into one,” said Collins. “The Leroy Anderson tunes will put a smile on your face and then the emotional intensity of Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker will finish you off. And the costumes and grace of the dancers are a feast for the eyes. We wanted to offer this show twice in the same day so everyone could see it.”

ABOUT THE SPACE COAST SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA— The SCSO is a lively and passionate Central Florida orchestra comprised of professional musicians and select youth players.
