Holiday Gold Party is Fundraiser December 15th
Space Coast Symphony event turns unwanted gold into cash for attendees, orchestra

(Cocoa Village, FL) December 5, 2011 – The Space Coast Symphony Orchestra will hold an exciting year-end Gold Party & fundraiser on Thursday, December 15th from 6:30 PM until10:00 PM at the symphony offices in the Brick & Mortar art cooperative studios located at 643 Brevard Avenue in Historic Cocoa Village.  Attendees are encouraged to bring in their unwanted gold jewelry (earrings, rings, even broken and tangled chains) and exchange it for cash, while enjoying live entertainment, complimentary appetizers, and a cash bar.  10% of the Gold Party proceeds will benefit the non-profit Space Coast Symphony Orchestra, as does the sale of photos taken with the “golden” conductor of the SCSO, Aaron Collins.  Nationwide refiner and buyer of precious metals, GoldFellow®, LLC will conduct the Gold Party transactions.  For more information, call 321.536-8580 or visit www.SpaceCoastSymphony.org.

For Aaron Collins, the holiday Gold Party & fundraiser is a win-win for everyone.  “The timing is great for everyone” said Collins. “Party-goers can get extra cash for holiday shopping by bringing in their unwanted gold – and help the Space Coast Symphony at the same time.  We’ve got a lot of fun things planned for the evening to make it a memorable event.”

ABOUT THE SPACE COAST SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA— The SCSO is a lively and passionate Central Florida orchestra comprised of professional musicians and select youth players.  The Orchestra was formed with a two-fold mission: to provide mentoring and performance opportunities for Florida’s finest youth musicians as well as to provide professional-level concerts at genuinely affordable prices.  The ultimate goal of the organization is to help ensure the symphonic tradition for the enjoyment of future generations.

The symphony performs in several very comfortable venues in Brevard and Indian River counties, with advance general admission tickets priced at just $20.  School-aged children 18 years and under are admitted free of charge.  In keeping with their mission, the symphony launched the Symphony for Everyone program in 2011, designed to provide substantially discounted admission tickets to any Space Coast Symphony concert.

Relying on a non-traditional orchestra model and a slim budget, the non-profit group performs year-round in addition to providing separate and free ensemble performances. More information about the Space Coast Symphony Orchestra’s upcoming concerts, ticket sales, venues, directions and sponsorship opportunities is available at www.SpaceCoastSymphony.org by calling (321) 536-8580.

ABOUT BRICK & MORTAR— Brick & Mortar curates art exhibitions and events to engage the local community and create an environment for the exchange of dialogue and ideas. Events and art projects are designed to create relationships and give people the freedom to explore artistic expression, to foster the emergence of a sustainable creative community. “Brick & Mortar” is a business term for a physical and tangible space, as opposed to an online store. When naming the community project, founders Lindsay Kolsch, Denny Kolsch and Rich Sullivan saw the need and value to have a physical presence. The name Brick & Mortar also serves as a reminder of the power and purpose of connected living. What began with the discovery of a home in Historic Cocoa Village has become Brick & Mortar art cooperative, located at 643 Brevard Avenue Cocoa, FL 32922.  For more information, please visit http://brickandmortarbuilt.com or call (321) 252-9333.
