

Anne M. Parrette is entering her fifth year as cello instructor at Florida Southern College. Anne spent 13 years of her career as an orchestra director in the Florida public schools including three in Brevard County. She led the Dr. Phillips Visual and Performing Arts magnet school in Orlando in the American premiere of Guy St. Claire’s piano concerto, Phoenix Rising, with the composer as soloist.
Anne is currently on the conducting staff of the Florida Southern String Workshop serving over 125 kids each summer. She is an active orchestral performer statewide having played with notables such as Ray Charles, Bernadette Peters and conductor Robert Shaw.
Anne holds her BME and MME from the Florida State University College of Music where she studied with Roger Drinkall, Andrew Luchanski and Lubomir Georgiev. She has been inducted into Who’s Who of American Teachers and Who’s Who of American Women. She is a member of Sigma Alpha Iota and Pi Kappa Lambda.
